Privacy Policy

Short version: We collect no personal information. We log no IP addresses. Your emails are stored temporarily and deleted automatically. We use Google AdSense which sets cookies. That's it.

1. Information We Collect

TempBox is designed to collect as little data as possible. Specifically:

No account required. You never provide a name, real email address, password, or any identifying information.
No IP logging. We do not record or store your IP address in connection with your use of the tool.
No cookies from us. TempBox itself does not set any first-party cookies. We use sessionStorage (cleared when you close your browser tab) and localStorage (for theme preference only) — both stored locally on your device.

2. Emails You Receive

Emails sent to your temporary TempBox address are stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure with an automatic Time-To-Live (TTL) expiry of 1, 6, or 24 hours depending on your selection. After that period:

The email data is automatically and permanently deleted from Cloudflare KV storage.
We do not back up, archive, or copy email contents to any other location.
We cannot read your emails; we have no interface to do so.
Anyone who knows your exact temporary address can view the inbox — there is no password. Choose a non-guessable address if privacy is important.

3. Google AdSense

TempBox displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to show you relevant ads based on your browsing history. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings or by using the NAI opt-out tool.

4. Cloudflare

TempBox uses Cloudflare for DNS, email routing, and serverless compute. Cloudflare may process metadata (not email content) for network security purposes. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

5. Netlify

The TempBox website is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may collect standard web server logs including IP addresses for security and performance purposes. These are subject to Netlify's Privacy Policy.

6. Children's Privacy

TempBox is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of TempBox after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
